Infant Dedication
It is exciting when a new child enters a family. There is no greater moment than when
parents acknowledge a child as a gift and responsibility given to them by God.
An infant dedication service is one in which the parents present their child before the
Lord and the congregation and ask for His grace and wisdom to carry out their
responsibilities. At that time the parents make a serious vow to raise this child to the
best of their ability with the help of the Lord. This is also a time in which parents and
congregation pray that the child will one day accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
Who may participate? Any adult believer may participate in this dedication to Christian
parenting, if they serve in that capacity in the child's life. This may include extended
family members or godparents.
What age child may participate? We suggest that dedication be limited to newborns
through six months.
For more information, please read the infant dedication brochure.
