The Evangel Vision
It is the dream of a place where anyone regardless of race or color can find love, acceptance,
help, hope, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement through the power of the Holy Spirit.
It is the dream of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with hundreds of thousands of residents
within our community and abroad, through various evangelistic efforts to include: Street
Witnessing, Super Saturday Sunday School, Ministry through the Arts: Music, Dance, Drama,
Mime; Visitation, Prison and Nursing Home Ministry and Multi-media (i.e. Radio, Television,
Tapes, Newsletters, and Recordings).
It is the dream of welcoming 5,000 members into the fellowship of our local church family --
worshipping, loving, laughing, learning, and living in harmony together.
It is the dream of impacting our community for the Kingdom of God: through a Daycare and
Elementary School; Community Festivals; Involvement with neighbouring High Schools and
Colleges; the development of Homework Clinics and Computer Learning Centers.
It is the dream of taking ownership in our community: through the acquisition of residential
properties, ensuring the morality of our community, and through the acquisition of commercial
properties for occupational development within our community, whereby, we train and gainfully
employ community residents as well as members of our congregation.
It is the dream of developing believers to spiritual maturity through home and church Bible
studies, small groups, seminars, conferences, retreats, Sunday School and the School of Ministry.
It is the dream of equipping every believer to function in their place of ministry according to
Ephesians 4:11 by helping them to discover their spiritual gifts and talents.
It is the dream of sending out hundreds of ministers: pastors, evangelists, teachers, career
missionaries and church workers all around the world, and empowering every member to be
a personal witness in the world.
It is the dream of sending out thousands of members on short-term missions projects through
the world.
It is the dream of planting and supporting new churches, with leadership and finance out of this
local body.
It is the dream of building three facilities within our community to house:
1. A beautiful Worship Center seating 1500 congregants, with a prayer chapel, a counseling
and ministry center, administrative offices, and a large dining hall and fellowship area;
2. A state-of-the-art day and evening Child Care and Senior Day Care Facility;
3. The expansion of the Chicago Christian Academy with classrooms to serve
approximately 300 students, grades 1-8, administrative offices, a gymnasium/cafeteria,
classrooms for Christian Education (Sunday School and School of Ministry) and facilities
to accommodate our Youth Ministry, Children's Ministry, and Outreach Ministries.
All of the above will be designed to minister to the total person -- body, soul and spirit --
and set in a beautifully landscaped environment.
We are confident that this vision can become a reality
Because GOD is the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our FAITH
