PRAYER

Prayer is a core value here at Evangel.  It is the ministry of the Church Universal. 

Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.  Isaiah 57:6

And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? Mark 11:17

 

There are several prayer opportunities here at Evangel: 

Every morning our church is open for Early Morning Prayer at 6 a.m.

Every morning our Pastoral staff gathers for prayer at 9:15 a.m.

Every Tuesday our Senior Saints, affectionately called "the Prayer Patrol" meets for Prayer at 10 a.m.

Prayer precedes every service, is offered during all of our services, and immediately following every service our Senior pastor, or one of the Pastoral staff, Deacons and/or intercessors are available to pray for your needs.  

Periodically, we are called together for seasons of prayer and fasting: Week of Prayer, All night Prayer, Month of Prayer, Concert of Prayer, etc. 

The first Wednesday of every month our congregation gathers for Corporate Prayer at 7 p.m., Praise and Instruction.

Evangel is a House of Prayer for All Nations. 

 

Prayer is our link with God, an awesome avenue through which we can express praise and adoration to Him for His goodness, love, and mercy; and an avenue through which we can voice our petitions and concerns. God's Word assures us that we can "come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).

Prayer also moves the hand of God on behalf of needs and circumstances in our church, our families, our community, nation, and world. Take time to pray and intercede for these areas as God leads you. Become part of a prayer group and intercede with others in times of corporate prayer. As you seek God's help, expect reports of great victory to follow as God answers prayer.
