MUSIC MINISTRIES (continued)

THE EVANGEL CELEBRATION CHOIR

The Evangel Celebration Choir is truly a "celebrated" choir, which rehearses every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. and ministers faithfully every Sunday at the 11:30 a.m. service.

God has richly blessed this choir, empowering them to transcend denominational, cultural, and racial barriers, with ministry to Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, etc., Protestants, Catholics, Charismatics and Pentecostals, in services ranging from small midweek gatherings of less than 100 to state and national conventions with tens of thousands.

The Celebration Choir loves to minister, and whether it's at home, in the storefront churches of Chicago, or prestigious and historic institutions such as the Moody Church or Willowcreek Community Church, the presentation and the anointing is the same.

Since their inception in 1989, the choir has made numerous radio and television appearances. They have been privileged to host and appear with a number of the nation's leading Contemporary Christian artists to include: The Winans, Ce Ce Winans, TRUTH, Accapella, Joann Rosario, Vicki Yohe, Angelo and Veronica, El Trio De Hoy, the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Bob Kilpatrick, and Ray Boltz.

The Choir has also appeared with national Black Gospel artists to include: Albertina Walker, DeLois Barrett Campbell, Jessy Dixon, DeAndre Patterson, Ricky Dillard, Chicago Mass Choir, Darius Brooks and numerous choirs and gospel ensembles from around the world whom frequent the worship services at Evangel.

In 2006, the Evangel Celebration Choir was privileged to open the Chicago Gospel Festival in Downtown Millennium Park to a crowd of 28,000 people.  The Celebration choir is in high demand locally, and now nationally and internationally.

"When the Celebration Choir sings, we not only expect our presentation to be appealing, we expect a manifestation of the presence and power of God.  It's a blessing to know that our ministry in song and praise has resulted in salvation, restoration, healing, and deliverance from the bonds of sin."   -- Pastor Ray Berryhill

This has been confirmed by our listeners time and time again. It is for that reason that the Evangel Celebration Choir  sings, rehearses and ministers with intensity and focus because they know what's at stake…people getting saved, healed and delivered, every time they sing.

Auditions are required to be a part of this choir, which take place prior to regularly scheduled rehearsals on Tuesdays.
